Today's hints
These hints point at one strong answer per prompt — usually the rarest one in the bank. Other answers are accepted too, so treat the hint as a direction, not a verdict. The final drawer shows the answer and its tier.

How to use a hint without wasting the dive
- Open level 1 only. A first letter is a small push. Most players can finish the answer from there, and the recall still feels earned.
- Give yourself ten seconds. If nothing surfaces, open the next drawer. Reading four hints in a row turns a puzzle into a paragraph.
- Play the set while it is fresh. Recognition fades quickly. The play button below loads the same seven prompts, and the clock is the honest test.
Why these answers are the deep ones
The hint set points at answers that are correct and uncommon, not at the most famous example of the category. On a geography prompt that usually means a smaller capital; on a film prompt, a winner people forget; on a science prompt, a unit named after a person. Those are exactly the answers the top tier is built from.
If you want the full ladder — a 60-point option and the 100-point option side by side — the answers page lists both for every prompt. The rules page explains how the tiers convert to depth.
Hints: frequently asked questions
Are these hints spoiler-free?
Yes. Every hint is folded shut by default, and the answer itself sits behind the last drawer. Nothing on the page reveals an answer until you choose to open that final level, so the page is safe to open even if you plan to play today's set yourself.
Do the hints apply to today's prompts?
Yes. The seven prompts on this page are the same seven used by the answers page and by the 'play this set' link, and they change together when the daily set updates. The date under the heading tells you which set you are looking at.
What if the hint does not look like the answer I have in mind?
A prompt accepts many answers, and the hints describe one specific deep answer, not the only correct one. If your answer is valid and scores, keep it. If the bank rejects it, the results screen will say so and you can suggest it for review.
Why hide the answer at all?
Because the point of a hint is to shorten the search, not replace it. A player who reads the first letter often finds the answer themselves in the next ten seconds; a player who reads the answer learns nothing about how to search. The drawers are ordered from the smallest nudge to the full reveal.
Can I play the same prompts after reading the hints?
Yes. The play button loads this exact seven-prompt set into the game. Reading the hints first is fine — the timed dive is where recall is tested, and the results screen still marks anything the bank did not accept.
Play the set you just peeked at
Seven prompts, 25 seconds each. The hints are behind you now; the clock is the real test.
